Aside from Flying Cars and Hoverboards, there is little more exciting about the future of transportation than the Hyperloop. Although it was originally posited as much as 100 years ago as a potential way to move humans from point A to point B, it wasn’t until Elon Musk drafted some blue prints and challenged the engineering community to make it a reality that people started taking it seriously.
Just how seriously are they taking it? Serious enough that recently-funded Hyperloop Technologies will be testing its propulsion technology next month at a track north of Las Vegas. The other major competitor in the space is Hyperloop Transportation Technologies.
