We love creativity – love it! In light of (pun intended) Lucasfilm’s recent release of the official trailer for the next episode of the Star Wars movies, fans are having a field day responding to the new design of that icon of sci-fi-futurist-samurai-ninjery, the lightsaber. Consistent with the trend in tech development, the sword, wielded by one of the bad guys, now features more features. Andrea Nolan reports for Mashable that the New ‘Star Wars’ lightsaber awakens dark side of the Internet, but we think the mocking re-designs (e.g., Swiss Army Lightsaber) are a bright bit of creative fun – check ’em out.
